Hi, I'm Laura. I'm a registered nurse, certified fertility doula, and IVF mom with over a decade of experience in reproductive medicine. I have had the privilege of working alongside extraordinary care teams at Fertility Centers of Illinois and Northwestern Medicine supporting patients through every stage of treatment.
But my connection to this journey is not just professional. Early in my fertility nursing career I started putting pieces together about my own reproductive health. What followed was years of irregular cycles, a PMOS diagnosis, pregnancy loss, and eventually IVF. And two boys on the other side of it.
I know what it feels like to spiral at 2 a.m. I know what it feels like to sit in the ultrasound room and read the image before anyone says a word. I know what it feels like to need someone who truly gets it, not just clinically, but humanly.
That is what I wanted to build with Rooted Fertility Co. Not another resource. A real community, guided by nurses who have lived this, for anyone navigating the fertility journey who deserves more than a waiting room and a pamphlet.

Hi, I'm Ashlee. I'm a Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Fertility Education Specialist with over 12 years of experience in Women's Health. Throughout my career I have supported thousands of patients through some of the most emotional and important moments of their lives, from labor and delivery to high- risk pregnancies and fertility treatment. I have had the privilege of working with leading healthcare systems including INOVA, Kaiser Permanente, and CCRM Fertility.
What I kept seeing across all of those roles was the same gap. Medical appointments are rushed. Outreach to your clinic is slow. The information available online is overwhelming at best and misleading at worst. And the emotional weight of navigating a fertility journey, whether as a patient, a partner, or a loved one, is something most people are carrying largely on their own.
That is what brought me to Rooted Fertility Co. I believe deeply that anyone navigating the fertility journey deserves honest guidance, genuine peer connection, and a space that meets them where they are. Not another overwhelming resource. A real community, with clinical grounding, built for the moments your care team cannot reach.

Between the two of us, we have spent years inside fertility clinics and navigated our own reproductive health journeys. We know what this process actually looks like from the inside, and we know what patients need that most clinics simply do not have time to provide.
Our coaching and injection support services exist to fill that gap. Honest, nurse-informed, and built around you as a person, not a protocol.
why we built this…
We have both spent years working inside fertility clinics. We know how they operate: the protocols, the appointment windows, the volume of patients moving through the system. We also know where the gaps are. Patients who leave appointments more confused than when they arrived. Questions that sit unanswered for days. Doctors who are in and out in minutes while the nursing staff carries the weight of everything in between.
We watched those same patients go looking for support elsewhere and find a different kind of problem. Reddit threads full of conflicting advice. Facebook groups where well-meaning members share information that is simply not accurate. No clinical voice in the room. No one setting a standard for what should and should not circulate.
What does not exist is the thing in the middle: a peer community where people can find genuine connection with others who understand this journey, and where the information they receive is honest, grounded, and free from the noise. A space that is there before someone is in crisis, not just a place they find after they have already been through the worst of it.
That is what we built. A community that feels like a knowledgeable friend who has been inside the clinic and sat in the waiting room. Not a replacement for your care team. The thing your care team does not have time to be.
